Kate Beckinsale Scared About L.A. Move

British actress Kate Beckinsale was "frightened" about moving to America - because she was convinced she would be forced to undergo a full body makeover.

The Underworld star transferred to America with her ex-husband Michael Sheen six years ago - and was worried that her English looks would set her apart from other actresses.

She tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "I was very frightened of L.A. at first. I thought the first thing that would happen is they are going to file my teeth down, inflate my bosom and just be mean to me - and that's sort of what has happened."

And the star confesses that although she is now settled with director husband Len Wiseman and her daughter Lily, nine, she didn't foresee the domestic bliss she now enjoys. She adds, "I would never have envisaged myself marrying an American, living in America and sending my child to an American school."

Kate Beckinsale Doesn't Think She's Perfect

Sometimes we forget that celebrities are just like us regular folks. They can have body image issues as well. The beautiful Kate Beckinsale has reportedly demanded a body double for her latest flick because she doesn't like her booty.

Her new movie, Whiteout has a shower scene and she apparently wants a model to fill in for her not because she's shy but because she's self-conscious of her rear.

A source tells The Mail, "The script called for her character to be filmed nude in a shower, focusing in on her bottom and thighs.

"Kate insisted on a double being hired. She was quite open on the set about not liking her body and said she particularly loathed her bottom and was not comfortable baring it."

In our opinion, Kate Beckinsale is close to perfection. She should definitely not have any body image issues. She has a better body than most models out there.
